Whitney Osterud is a Chicago-based luthier who's responsible for creating and maintaining many of Chicago's best musicians'  instruments. The work required to maintain these delicate instruments are often overlooked, but Osterud spends hours carefully refining each part of the instruments by hand. Without the help of any machines, the detail and precision of his work is truly remarkable.
